With a background in organizational leadership, I am an experienced manager, trainer, team builder, and mentor. As a skilled communicator, I respond to new challenges with confidence and focus. I approach people with passion and compassion.
Within the last decade my focus has shifted and expanded from large organizations, to embracing small groups and the individual.
This has lead me to train as a life coach, and acquire the specific skills to assist people on their personal journey of transformation. I am drawn to people who are curious about themselves and willing to examine who they are. Offering tools and strategies I am committed to your personal growth. While providing a safe place to be yourself, I offer you a listening ear and truthful perspective. I will encourage and inspire you to live a life you love!
These are a few of my favorite things:
I love to cook, and you may find me browsing recipes before I doze off at night.
“Homesense” is my favorite go-to store as home décor is my passion! My kitchen table décor is changed monthly, to coordinate with the themes and seasons of the year!
I am a proud dog owner of a 10 year old Shih Tzu/Bishon cross. Her name is Tilly. I enjoy taking Tilly out for walks around the neighborhood .
I love learning and reading, and may be known to have a stack of books and magazines beside my night table.
While I enjoy all types of gardening, container gardening is my favorite. I use pots (not pot), as an opportunity to be creative in summer, fall and winter!
My go-to-get-away place is the family cabin! Whether walking, boating or sitting around the campfire, this simplistic life replenishes me.
My Kids
I have 3 young adult children who are fun, challenging and inspiring. They make me one proud mama, and occasionally appease me by playing games! Together we share meals, take mini vacations, get together at significant holidays and birthdays. Also, some of them come with a partner and pet; which only adds to the excitement. Now I am a grandma to two dogs!
Game Changers
I went through divorce in 2009 after 22 years of marriage. This was one of the most painful seasons of my life. However, it served as a catalyst to retrain as a Life coach, and provides me the motivation to help others overcome obstacles and start anew.
In January of 2016 I had a heart attack. Now, I strive to worker smarter, not harder. I try to choose wisely where I put my energy. I love people and making the connection. Self care and compassion are now more meaningful.
Professional Designations
I have a Master’s Degree in Administration, with a major in Organizational Leadership.
As a Life Coach, I additionally specialize in Divorce Coaching and Retirement Coaching.
